The Best Gelato in Paphos: Where to Find Real Italian Gelato by the Sea (2026)
If you're in Paphos and want real, handmade Italian gelato, not the mass-produced stuff, Kato Paphos is where you want to be, and the seafront is where you want to eat it.
I've been working my way through the gelato spots along the Paphos coast, and one keeps pulling me back: DOLCE Gelateria on Poseidonos Avenue, right on the Kato Paphos seafront. Artisan Italian gelato, soft-serve, and a counter of flavours that genuinely stops you in your tracks.
What to order
On my last visit I went for three scoops: cinnamon, orange panna cotta, and banoffee. The panna cotta is the one I'd send anyone to: creamy, not too sweet, properly made. If you like a classic, the pistachio and stracciatella are safe bets, and the fruit sorbets are perfect in the Cyprus heat.
Why the location makes it
Half the magic is where you eat it. Grab your cone and walk the seafront promenade at golden hour: the sea on one side, the cobbles underfoot, the sun going down behind the point. That's a proper Paphos evening.
